Chrysalidocarpus, which is a genus of palms commonly known as the Areca palm or Butterfly palm. These palms are popular in homes and offices due to their elegant, feathery fronds and relatively easy care.
The Chrysalidocarpus lutescens, or the Golden Cane Palm, is one of the most well-known species in this genus. It’s native to Madagascar and typically has bright green or golden-yellow stems, adding a pop of color to any space.
These palms prefer bright, indirect light, and they're pretty forgiving when it comes to watering. They do best in well-drained soil and benefit from occasional misting to increase humidity, but they don’t like to sit in water, so make sure to let the soil dry out between waterings.
