Pennisetum setaceum is also known as African Fountain Grass as well as Tender Fountain Grass. Local to East Africa. Commonly utilized in commercial ventures in Dubai and the UAE. It is a dry-season-tolerant and quick-developing grass. Mound-forming, thickly tufted, deciduous lasting grass, regularly developed as an annual, with upright, barely direct, level or rolled, rough-textured, mid-green clears out to 30 cm long. From mid-summer to early harvest time, bears pink to purplish pink spikelets in plumed, long-bristled, upright to gesturing, contract panicles up to 30 cm long.
